Areas of Practice

Sexual Trauma Therapy

Ever have feelings of pain, panic, or disgust come up in situations you don't want them to be ? Ever feel stuck in patterns that were caused as a result of your previous trauma and are no longer serving you?
Anxiety Therapy

Do you find yourself never feeling good enough? Up all night replaying past interactions/experiences or anticipated ones? Running countless scenarios through your head. Has it gotten to a point where it’s just too much?
Teen Therapy

Are you a teenager feeling like you need support?

Like everything around you is too overwhelming to tackle on your own?

Like you have no one to talk to about how hard it is to be a teenager, especially in today's society?

“We don't have to do all of it alone.

We were never meant to.”

- Brené Brown

Additional Information:

I provided therapy services in the Ottawa area.

Services are available to residents of Ontario and Quebec.

I work with individuals on a weekly basis as this allows for deeper and more sustainable work to be done.

True change requires time, hard work and commitment.

All sessions are held virtually, via a secure platform. This platform can be accessed via computer or phone.

Policies:

Confidentiality: Personal information gathered in the course of therapy will be used in accordance with the purposes outlined above and will not be disclosed except in cases of the exceptions outlined below or when consent is provided. Confidentiality is a key to the effectiveness of the therapy process, so the personal information you share will be kept confidential. Confidentiality continues after the end of the counselling relationship. Some exceptions to confidentiality include: (a) If it is my opinion that a child is or may be at risk of abuse or neglect, or in need of protection; (b) If it is my opinion that you or another person is at clear risk of imminent harm; (c) If I am called to speak in legal matters where keeping confidentiality would be in contravention of the law; (d) If I am under assessment by a regulatory body such as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Cancellation Policy: Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file.
Please note that most insurance companies will not reimburse for missed sessions. Your session will be marked as missed/no show if you did not present yourself virtually or by phone within the session time.
