Hi there!

My name is Jessica! I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I help anxious young women with a painful past regain control of their lives in a meaningful way.

Similar to many, I have my own story when it comes to trauma and body dissatisfaction. I felt trapped and unable to live my life to the fullest. Diet culture has become so ingrained in our society and media - it became far too easy to be consumed with anxiety around food and my body. I found myself being self-critical and extremely hard on myself. My own childhood trauma played a key role in reinforcing this destructive relationship with my body and food, as well as fueled a vicious need for control. It ultimately kept me deeply disconnected from myself and those around me.

If you are able to relate to any part of this story, you are not alone.

“When we are focused on how we look as the key to who we are... then we are diminishing who we are.”

- Lindsay Kite

Over time and with support, I was able to get to a place of peace and healing. My purpose is to help you get to this place too; this is why I now support other women in their own process of healing their relationship with their bodies, as well as regaining control of their lives in a meaningful way.

It is hard work, but everyone is deserving of feeling at peace in their own body and mind.

I work to create a space where people feel comfortable to explore, make sense of and heal from their past in a way that reduces its impact on their today. My purpose is to help you get to a place of peace and healing. In therapy, I take a warm, lighthearted approach to ensure people feel comfortable when working through challenging times and engaging in difficult conversations. I truly believe with the right support and fit, everyone is able to overcome challenges they may not have thought possible. Together, we will work to better understand the reasons why you may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, and identify strategies to finally soothe, heal and move forward. It is hard work, but everyone is deserving of feeling at peace in their own body and mind.

My goal is to help you:

  • Free yourself from diet culture.

  • Live a life of freedom, peace, pleasure and joy.

  • Become more attuned with your body.

  • Learn to trust yourself again.

  • Break the cycle of constantly striving for perfection & control.

  • Heal from trauma that may be feeding into destructive habits and holding you back.

  • Move from self-judgment to self-compassion.

  • Build a sense of purpose, value and worth, regardless of the size of your body.

My primary therapeutic modalities include:

Brainspotting (BSP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

[ Let's get you to a place of owning your enoughness. ]
